    GAME STRUCTURE / RULES
    Game Length:
    Games are maximum 5 innings in length or limit of 1 hour 20 minutes.
    Minimum Innings for Official game is 2.5 innings. (If home team is winning after the visiting records 9 outs)
    Game 1 scheduled start time is 3:00pm.
    Game 2 scheduled start time is 4:30pm.
    No new inning shall commence after 1 hour 20 minutes from the scheduled start time.

    Innings, Balls and Strikes:

    3 outs in an inning.

    Normal baseball rules apply for balls and strikes.

    Run Limits:

    5 run maximum per inning with final inning open.

    Mercy Rule:

    10 run lead after 4 innings.

    Tied games:

    Games may end in a tie.

    PLAYER PARTICIPATION

    Hitting

    Hitters can choose slow pitch from a coach, OR face the opposing team's pitcher.

    Pitching

    To offer an opportunity to as many players as possible to try pitching, we will aim to have different player pitch each inning.

    Fielders:

    Each team will field 9 players.

    4 Outfield (LF, CF, RF, Rover)

    4 Infield (1B, 2B, 3B, SS)

    1 Pitcher or Rover (If pitcher is a coach, fielding team fields a rover at the pitching position)

    Note:

    - Each team must field a minimum of 7 players

    - The catcher position will be played by a volunteer that will also call balls and strikes

    - The coach will decide where players will play in the field.

    - Each player will play 3 different fielding positions each game.

    - Not every player will get the opportunity to pitch.

    SAFETY & CONDUCT RULES

    No On-Deck Swings:
    Players cannot swing a bat in the "on-deck" circle; only the batter at the plate can hold a bat.

    Stealing bases/Sliding/Contact:

    No leadoffs

    No stealing bases.

    No sliding.

    No contact.

    Protective Equipment:

    Each player is to wear protective equipment ie. protective cup

    Volunteer Catcher must wear full proper equipment.

    Footwear:

    No metal cleats
